After spending three months travelling through Italy, Poland, Thailand and Vietnam, we came back to New Zealand, a little more relaxed and with a much lighter bank account.
That’s when it hit me, we should start to save money to recoup some of our spending overseas.
But – what was the best way to save money?
To eat at home, of course.
I don’t know about you, but the thought of cooking the same old meal, on the same night every week is a little uninspiring. As an avid and passionate cook/foodie, I am always recreating classic dishes and don’t really like eating the same thing day after day.
I would much prefer to explore the world in my neighbourhood at my local Indian, Thai, Japanese or Gastro Pub to look for inspiration.
BUT, for the next 30 days I will need to find inspiration from the places we’ve travelled, and only eating at home.
I’ll be cooking a combination of contemporary and classic recipes from around the world and posting a new recipe every day.
