The very first time I posted to this blog about our travels, it was approximately 6 and a half years ago. It really only feels like a few months ago when I think about it. I can’t believe how fast the time has flown and how much has happened in that time.
Since 2013, we’ve moved between 3 different houses, I’ve had two different jobs and the biggest news of all is that our whanau (family) has grown by 2 beautiful little daughters.
Thus blogging has taken somewhat of a backseat amongst the nappies, sleep deprivation and beautiful chaos that children have brought to our lives.
This is Thea and Evie:
So now our travelling duo has become a travelling quartet, and with that, a whole new range of challenges are about to begin.
This Saturday 26th of January 2019, we are flying to Munich to embark on a 9-week European holiday. We’ve done everything we can to prepare ourselves for long haul travel with a 3-year-old and a six-month-old (more about this in the next blog post). I guess now we just have to wait and see how this adventure unfolds.
We’ll be making a commitment to being open and honest about our experiences with travelling with our young whanau in the hopes that it may be of use to someone else in the future. And also my memory is so terrible these days, a cyber account of our trip will be extremely useful.
